Who We Are
Cloutso is a brand owned and operated by GIF Studios Inc., a company incorporated in the United States ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you access or use the Cloutso platform at cloutso.com (the "Service").
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please discontinue use of the Service.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
Account Information
Your name, email address, company name, and password when you register or join a workspace.
Campaign Data
Briefs, brand assets, goals, platform preferences, target audiences, and any instructions you provide when creating or managing a campaign.
Billing Information
Campaign transaction records, amounts, dates, and your Stripe Customer ID. We do not store full credit card numbers or banking credentials.
Usage Data
How you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, assets reviewed, approvals submitted, and timestamps of activity.
Technical & Device Data
IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs. Collected automatically for security and platform integrity.
Communications
Messages, feedback, and inquiries you send to our support or operations team.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your account, workspace, and team member access.
Produce, review, and deliver campaign content tailored to your brief.
Process payments and manage billing through Stripe.
Send transactional communications — including campaign status updates, asset delivery notifications, revision requests, and billing receipts.
Respond to your support requests and operational inquiries.
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity, security incidents, and abuse of the platform.
Improve our platform, internal workflows, and service quality through aggregated and anonymized usage analysis.
Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. We do not use your campaign briefs or brand assets to train machine learning models.
Payment Data
All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. GIF Studios Inc. does not store, process, or have access to your full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or banking credentials at any point.
We retain only your Stripe Customer ID and transaction records (amount in USD, date, and campaign reference) for billing management, dispute resolution, and legal compliance purposes.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in the United States using Supabase, a managed cloud database platform. We implement the following security measures:
Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users and workspace members can only access data they are authorized to view.
Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS across all platform surfaces.
Role-based access controls that restrict internal team access to sensitive data on a need-to-know basis.
Regular reviews of infrastructure security and access permissions.
While we implement industry-standard protections, no system is completely immune to risk. Notify us immediately at team@cloutso.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers
Stripe (payments) and Supabase (data infrastructure), each bound by their own data protection agreements and only given access to the extent necessary to perform their services.
Creator Network
When your campaign includes distribution, vetted creators in our network receive the approved campaign content (assets, captions, and placement instructions) solely for the purpose of executing your campaign. Creators do not receive your personal account information, billing data, or any information beyond what is necessary to fulfill their distribution role.
Legal Requirements
When required to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, court order, or a request from a governmental authority.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of GIF Studios Inc.'s assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will provide notice via email prior to any such transfer.
Protection of Rights
When we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of GIF Studios Inc., our users, or the public.
Cookies & Tracking
Essential Cookies
Required to authenticate your session, maintain login state, and enable core platform functionality. Cannot be disabled without affecting your ability to use the Service.
Analytics Cookies
Used to understand general usage patterns, measure feature adoption, and improve the platform. Data is aggregated and not used to identify you individually.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third-party advertisers. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies will impair your ability to use the Service.
We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals, as there is no consistent industry standard for how to do so. We will revisit this position as standards evolve.
Data Retention
We retain your account and campaign data for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we retain billing and transaction records for the period required under U.S. financial and tax regulations (typically 7 years). Approved campaign assets and briefs are retained for a minimum of 12 months post-campaign to support any disputes, revision claims, or compliance reviews.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests promptly and to the fullest extent not restricted by applicable legal retention obligations.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Deletion
Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Portability
Request that we provide your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
California Residents (CCPA)
You have the right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data.
We will respond to all verifiable privacy requests within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Submit requests to team@cloutso.com.
International Users
Cloutso is operated from the United States, and your data is stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.
Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or resources. These links are provided for your convenience only. GIF Studios Inc. has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you visit.
Children's Privacy
The Cloutso platform is intended for use by businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, platform features, or applicable law. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
